For the upcoming school year, our firm will grant a $500 scholarship to the American college student who creates the best written or video essay. This year’s topic is Crossroads: How a personal injury, car accident, or unexpected event resulted in unforeseen outcomes for you or someone you know.
How to Enter:
- Record a one- to two-minute video explaining how a personal injury, car accident, or unexpected event resulted in unforeseen outcomes. Applicants should use plain English and speak honestly.
- Publish the video to your YouTube channel, TikTok account, or Instagram account.
- Title the video OCLA Injury Lawyer Crossroads Scholarship and include this link https://oclalawyer.com/scholarship-for-college-students/ in the description.
- OR submit a 1,000 – 1,500 word essay explaining how an unexpected event, personal injury, or vehicular accident led to surprising consequences for you or someone you know. Describe the lessons you learned and the process of overcoming this event. If your essay is about someone you know explain how their journey made an impact on you.
All submissions are due by August 25th. The winner will be chosen and notified on August 31st.

If you are offered a scholarship, your details including name, school, photograph, video and scholarship awarded may be passed on to media and used by RLM Law and / or partner organizations for promotional purposes, including but not limited to RLM Law’s website, social media channels, print and electronic media. If you do not wish for your details to be passed on to media or used for promotional purposes, you must notify RLM Law in writing.
