An elderly man, aged 84, was discovered deceased early Monday, September 2, near the intersection of Anaheim Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue. Authorities suspect that a vehicle struck him.
The Anaheim police and fire departments received a call around 5:30 a.m. regarding a pedestrian down on the ground. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from severe injuries and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators believe that the man was the victim of a hit-and-run, as the driver involved in the incident had already fled by the time the authorities arrived.
The coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the deceased man.
Details about the suspect’s vehicle have not been disclosed by the police.
