55-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Two Cars in Huntington Beach

A 55-year-old man died after being struck by two cars while jaywalking near a major intersection in Huntington Beach on Friday night, July 5. The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard. When Huntington Beach police arrived, they found the man in the roadway. He was taken to a hospital, where he later past away, according to HBPD spokeswoman Jessica Cuchilla.

The man, a local resident, was crossing Warner Avenue outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a Lexus sedan in the right eastbound lane, followed by a Ford sedan in the middle lane. Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Neither driver was suspected of impairment, and no arrests were made. The pedestrian’s identity has been withheld pending notification of his family. This incident followed another fatal crash in Huntington Beach on July 4, involving a 27-year-old motorcyclist.
